NEETHISAARAM

MAATA PITAA CHA ME SATHRURYENA BAALYENAPAADYATE,
SABHAMADHYE NA SOBHATE HAMSAMADHYE BAKOYATA  !!

Meaning :- The parents who do not educate their children in young age are
equal to foes. Because, an uneducated person in the midst of a sabha (Literate
Persons) is equated like a crane stranded  in the midst of  Swans.

PITHAA  RAKSHSHATI  KOUMAARE,  BHARTAA  RAKSHATI   YAUWANE,
PUTHRO RAKSHATI VAARDHAKYE, NA STHREE SWATANTRYA MARHATHI

Meaning :- During adolescence father protects the young girl,When in youth
husband protects the wife. During old age a woman is protected by her Son.
The above sloka depicts the male chauvinistic attitude of people during ancient
time as is evident from the last sentence ie. women should never be given freedom!!!

QUALITIES OF A DHARMA PATHNI ( VIRTUOUS WIFE)

KARYASHU MANTHRI,  KARANESHU  DAASI,
RUPESHU LAKSHMI, KSHAMAYA DHARITHRI,
SNEHESHU  MAATA,   SAYANESHU  VESYAA,
SHADKARMA NAARI, KULA DHARMA PATHNI !!

Meaning :- In organising things a wife should have all the qualities of a Minister.
When it comes to doing things she should be like a Maid servant, In looks she should
be like Goddess Lakshmi, when it comes to having patience she should be like the Mother
Earth !!! While showing affection she should equal one's Mother,When in the Bed Room
she should be like a whore!!! All the above six qualities in the woman makes a perfect and
virtuous wife.!!!!!

  1. Regarding the sloka Na sthree swathantryam arhati, in Sanskrit each word has multiple meanings depending upon the situation. Manu is someone who is remembered even after thousands of years, and it is very much unlikely that he might have been a Male chauvinist.
